The NATO Defense College was honoured to receive a visit from the Ambassador of Canada to the Italian Republic, H.E. James Fox.
After a short office call with the NDC Commandant, Lieutenant General Wolf-Dieter Loeser, Ambassador Fox signed the NATO Defense College guest book.
The Canadian Ambassador was then briefed by the Commandant and Senior Canadian officials on NDC activities, particularly the educational programmes attended by his fellow Canadians and on the Canadian contributions to Research and Outreach at the College.
This informative briefing was followed by a tour of the College facilities which concluded with a lunch with the Commandant, senior NDC leadership and Canadian officials and Course Members.
The main purpose of the visit was not only to obtain first hand information about the College programmes and activities but also to stress Canada's importance as a main actor and ally in the Transatlantic Link and its role in this strategic relationship.
