Thursday 7 July 2011

On Thursday 7th July the NATO Defense College hosted a delegation of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, composed of 24 members of the Sub-Committee on Transatlantic Defence and Security Cooperation (DSCTC).
Twelve different countries were represented in the group, led by Sir John Stanley (GBR).
After NDC Commandant Lieutenant General Wolf-Dieter LOESER's welcoming remarks, the delegation attended a lecture on "Enlarged NATO Partnership" by the Director of the Research Division, Dr Karl-Heinz Kamp. The talk was followed by a lively discussion period.
During their visit the guests enjoyed a rare opportunity to discuss the role played by the NDC in educating both military and civilian personnel, to learn about its 60 years of history, and to gain insight into the new challenges the College will face in the near future.
