On 31st May 2012 the NATO Defense College (NDC) was honoured to receive a visit from a delegation of the South-Eastern Europe Brigade (SEEBRIG) led by Brigadier General Zdravko Popovski, Commandant of the SEEBRIG.
The delegation was welcomed by the Chief of the NDC Public Affairs Office, LtCol Mario Masdea, after which BGen Popovski joined NDC Commandant LtGen Arne Bård Dalhaug for an office call. After this the group spent the rest of the morning with Senior Course 120 in the main Auditorium, to attend a lecture on the Caucasus by Dr Socor (USA). The lecture was followed by a discussion period, during which the speaker addressed additional points of interest concerning regional issues and focused on a number of challenging questions raised by Course Members.
The visit of the SEEBRIG afforded senior officers excellent practical insight into NATO’s mission and core tasks. In addition, it provided the delegation with a representative overview of the NDC, its academic priorities and related daily activities.
