Visit by a delegation from the Croatian War College to the NATO Defense College

A delegation of 19 participants from the Croatian War College “Ban Josip Jelačić,” led by Colonel Slobodan Čurčija, Dean of the Croatian Defence Academy “Dr Franjo Tuđman,” visited the NATO Defense College on 28 April 2017. The visitors were welcomed by NDC Dean, Brigadier General (ret.) František Mičánek.

Participants were briefed on the NDC’s educational, research and outreach initiatives by the Head of the Academic Operations Division, Major General Pascal Valentin. An overview of the history, mission and activities of the Croatian War College was also provided by the Dean of the Croatian Defence Academy, Col Slobodan Čurčija. First-hand explanations of NDC Research Division and Middle East Faculty activities were offered by Dr Brooke Smith-Windsor and Dr Chloé Berger. Ensuing discussions covered a broad range of issues spanning curriculum planning, learning outcomes and global security issues. The visit also included a tour of NDC educational facilities.
