A Pakistani delegation visits the NDC
On Friday 5th May, a Pakistani delegation from the National Security and War Course visited the NATO Defense College.
The delegation was comprised of a diverse group of military and civilian participants, of various nationalities and ranks, headed by MGen Khalid Zia. The aim of the visit was to provide the guests with an overview of the NDC, as well as to share and discuss views and possible areas for collaboration on ongoing and future cooperation.
The visit included presentations by Faculty Adviser Dr. Chloe Berger, of the Middle East Faculty; Col Pavel Skála, Head Academic Programmes Branch; and Dr. Jeffrey Larsen, Head of the Research Division. The Pakistani delegation also delivered a presentation on their country, which provided all present with a very complete picture of Pakistan, from its history, culture and sports to its current situation and challenges.
During the question and answer session, NDC Commandant LtGen Chris Whitecross highlighted the College’s important role in creating a curriculum that addresses current issues for NATO in a timely and relevant manner.
The visit concluded with a tour of the College, during which all participants had the opportunity to gain a better understanding of the NDC and the work that is being done here.
