A delegation from the National Defence College of Bangladesh visits the NDC
On Monday 22 September 2014, the NATO Defense College (NDC) had the pleasure of welcoming a delegation from the National Defence College of Bangladesh.
Upon arrival, the Bengali Delegation was warmly welcomed by the Dean Dr Daria DANIELS SKODNIK (SVN C).
Heading the large delegation were Rear Adm Muhammad A. ISLAM (Navy) and MGen Akm A. RAHMAN (Army), who, with other high-ranking officials from Nigeria, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, India, Tanzania and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia were visiting the NDC to learn more about its activities and mission, including its programme of Field Studies.
The delegation had the opportunity to attend the daily lecture given to SC125, which prepares high-level officers and civilians for future assignments within NATO or in NATO-related activities.
Following the customary greetings from NDC Commandant MGen Janusz BOJARSKI (POL F), the delegation heard a briefing from LtCol A. ALLETTO (ITA A), who gave an overview of the NDC’s aims and activities.
A brief question and answer session provided opportunity for discussion and the Bengali delegation’s brief visit ended with a tour of the College to see, first-hand, its many facilities.
Visits of this nature, from NATO countries and Partners alike, are highly-valued by the NDC in order to highlight the College’s flagship role as NATO’s premier academic institution.
