Dr Iulian Romanyshyn
Dr. Iulian Romanyshyn is a research fellow at the Center for Advanced Security, Strategic and Integration Studies (CASSIS) at the University of Bonn and an associate fellow at Egmont - Royal Institute for International Relations.
He previously held research and teaching positions at New York University, Maastricht University, Free University of Brussels and European University Institute, as well as a fellowship of the Charlemagne Prize Academy. Iulian holds a PhD in political science from the IMT School for Advanced Studies Lucca.
Iulian’s research interests include transatlantic security relations, EU-NATO partnership, EU security and defence policy, Black Sea security and Eastern European politics.
His research has been published in several peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Common Market Studies, International Journal, Journal of European Integration, and European Foreign Affairs Review. Iulian's research has been acknowledged with the 2018 Global Strategy PhD Prize awarded by the Egmont Institute for International Relations and the European Security and Defence College.
