Dr. Peter Dobias received his PhD from the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada. Since 2005, he works for Defence Research and Development Canada Centre of Operational Research and Analysis. His current research focuses on deterrence and escalation across the competition continuum, with focus on countering hybrid threats, intermediate force capabilities, complex adaptive systems, and wargaming. He has held the roles of a strategic and operational analysis advisor to North American Aerospace Defense Command, chief scientist for operational research and analysis, director, research and development combat in physical and virtual environment, head of land and operational commands operational research, lead of the maritime forces Pacific operational research, and the lead of Metrics Team at Afghanistan-Pakistan Center of U.S. Central Command.
