Nikki Ikani

Dr Nikki Ikani is Assistant Professor Intelligence and Security at Leiden University and a Visiting Research Fellow at King’s College London.
Her research focuses on early and strategic warning ahead of crises. In 2023, she received a four-year grant for her research project WARN which focuses on the processes of strategic warning in amongst others the EU and NATO. Her work appears in leading academic journals and media outlets. She is also the author of Crisis and Change in EU foreign policy (Manchester University Press, 2021) and co-edited Estimative Intelligence in European Foreign Policymaking (Edinburgh University Press, 2022).
She holds an MSc from the University of Amsterdam, an MA from Sciences Po Paris, and a PhD from King’s College London.
