NDC Commandant, LtGen Wolf-Dieter LOESER, addresses Senior Course 115 during the Graduation Ceremony<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p>\n

There was a special atmosphere at the NATO Defense College because of an important event which took place today: the graduation Ceremony of Senior Course 115.<\/p>\n

Ambassadors, General Officers, Course Members and their families were welcomed in the main Auditorium by Lieutenant General Wolf Dieter LOESER, Commandant of the College, who addressed the opening remarks of the ceremony to SC 115.<\/p>\n

During his speech, Lt. Gen. LOESER underlined the main events held during the six months course -such as the Inauguration Lecture, the 60th Anniversary of the Alliance, the Field Studies, the Eisenhower Lecture, and the Lecture of Opportunity- summarizing the great experience gained by the Course Members during this time.<\/p>\n

The Commandant then gave the floor to the President and Vice President of Senior Course 115 who focused their speeches on the unique education received during such an intensive and outstanding Course.<\/p>\n

After a stirring video clip on the key moments for the Course Members at the NATO Defense College, the Ceremony continued with the awarding of Diplomas.<\/p>\n

In front of the flags of their respective countries, Officers and Officials received their diplomas and congratulations from the Commandant, the Dean, and the other General Officers of the College.<\/p>\n

The music chosen by the College to accompany the event emphasized the importance of the moment and some Course Members and their relatives were deeply moved.<\/p>\n

Course Members of Senior Course 115 will have the opportunity to use the knowledge acquired and the bonds developed during the Course in their military or civilian careers, “fair winds and following seas” to all of them.<\/p>\n
