On 24th-25th March 2015, the NDC\u2019s Thirteenth NATO Regional Cooperation Course (NRCC-13) was in Berlin for the second stop on its Field Study. Led by Middle East Faculty (MEF) Director Col G. Morabito (ITA A), the group visited the German Ministry of Defence, the Federal Academy for Security (BAKS) and the German Parliament. During the stay in Berlin, Course Members attended a number of institutional presentations and briefings. <\/p>\n

On the first day, there were meetings and discussions with the following speakers: BrigGen Carsten Breuer, Chief of the Security Policy Division; Navy Capt. Axel Deertz, Chief of Branch POL1, who spoke about \u201cGerman Security Policy\u201d; RADM Thomas Jugel, Deputy Director-General for Strategy and Operations, who led a discussion on \u201cThe German Commitment to Multinational Operations\u201d.<\/p>\n

Next day, Course Members spent time at the Federal Academy for Security. The programme was presented by Col Manfred Baumgartner (NRCC 12), after which Dr Patrick Keller (KAS) led a discussion on \u201cGerman Foreign and Security Policy\u201d.<\/p>\n

The last visit of the day was to the German Parliament, where Course Members met Col (ret.) Dr Roderich Kiesewetter, a Member of the Bundestag with the CDU.<\/p>\n
