Delegation from the Command and Staff School, Slovenian Armed Forces Military School Centre, at the NATO Defense College<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p>\n

On 5 March 2019, the NATO Defense College hosted 50 students and staff from the Command and Staff School, Slovenian Armed Forces Military School Centre. The delegation was headed by Colonel Ivan Turnšek, Commandant of the Command and Staff School in Maribor. <\/p>\n

NDC Dean Dr Stephen J. Mariano welcomed the delegation, before discussing Slovenia\u2019s current and future cooperation with the NDC. Captain (N) Peter Papler, PhD, briefed the group on the history of the NDC, its scope as a major centre of education, study and research, and its core mission. <\/p>\n

The delegation also attended lectures on Globalization, Regionalization and Fragmentation, delivered by Dr Kleanthis Kyriakidis (GRC) and Prof Thomas Christiansen (DEU). The lectures are part of the Senior Course Study programme on the security environment of the 21st century, analysing specific trends in the evolution of the security environment and their significance for NATO.<\/p>\n
