Discussions during the Office Call.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p>\n

On 21 November 2023, the Ambassador of Germany to Italy, H.E. Dr Hans-Dieter Lucas, visited the NATO Defense College, actively engaging in discussions to learn more about the activities of the College and how they contribute to its guiding mission of promoting the effectiveness and cohesion of the Alliance.<\/p>\n

The Ambassador exchanged views with the NDC Commandant, Lieutenant General Max A.L.T. Nielsen; German NDC Division Head Brigadier General Ren\u00e9 Leitgen; and Germany\u2019s Senior National Representative at the NDC, Colonel Joerg Prescher. Conversations focused on the different courses offered by the NDC, the College\u2019s engagement activities with the Mediterranean and Gulf regions, and the possibility of extending some of the courses to wider audiences in the future. <\/p>\n

The six German Course Members currently attending Senior Course 143 were also given the opportunity to meet with the Ambassador, who discussed with them some of the main issues and responsibilities on his agenda in Rome. Course Members also shared their insights regarding their experience attending the Senior Course at the NATO Defense College.<\/p>\n

Expressing a keen interest in strengthening support and deepening collaboration, the Ambassador made clear his intention to enhance ties with the College moving forward.<\/p>\n
