Senior Course 137 takes part in virtual lectures on Civil-Military Cooperation (CIMIC)

The final day of Field Study 3 for Senior Course 137 was dedicated to Civil-Military Cooperation (CIMIC). Virtual visits were conducted at the CIMIC Centre of Excellence (CCOE) in The Hague, Netherlands and the Multinational CIMIC Group (MNCG) in Motta di Livenza, Italy.

The lectures on the CCOE were delivered by the Director, Colonel Frank van Boxmeer (NLD-A), and the Director of Management, Lieutenant Colonel Arjo Janssen (NLD-A). They explained the main role of the CCOE for NATO. Following their presentations, Colonel Mattia Zuzzi (ITA-A), the Commandant of the MNCG, and his staff provided insight on the work of his organization.
The presentations were followed by a panel discussion with representatives from both institutions moderated by Faculty Adviser Captain Bart Stoelinga (NDL-N).
Brigadier General Ferenc Molnar (HUN-A), Director of Academic Operations at the NATO Defense College, made the closing remarks and thanked the lecturers for their excellent presentations and their valuable answers during the final discussion.
