A delegation of 16 visitors from the National Defence University (NDU) of Pakistan visited the NATO Defense College on 10 May 2023. The aim of the visit was to acquire better knowledge of the NDC, its structure, academic curricula and courses as part of the University’s annual foreign tour.

On 5 May 2023, as part Senior Course 142’s Study Period D entitled “NATO Risks and Challenges”, the NATO Defense College held a special day on “The Northern Region including the Arctic” in cooperation with the Royal Danish Defence College.

On 4 May 2023 a student delegation composed of 33 visitors from Roma Tre University and the American University of Rome visited the NATO Defense College.

A group composed of seven visitors from the Delegation of the Jeunes IHEDN (Institut des Hautes Études de Défense Nationale) Think Tank Association in Italy visited the NATO Defense College on 28 April 2023.

On 26 and 27 April 2023, Senior Course 142 attended the Italian Days, involving two days of briefings at the Comando Operativo di Vertice Interforze (COVI – Italian Command for Joint Operations) and at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in Rome. They learned about Italy’s strategic vision, priorities and areas of national interest in the defence and security sectors. Italy’s commitment to the Alliance, the EU and the UN, as well as its strategic direction focused on support in the Euro-Atlantic and Euro-Mediterranean area were some of the topics addressed.

On 20 April 2023, Senior Course 142 flew from Norfolk to New York for the last stop of their Field Study 2 programme in the United States. Course Members visited the United Nations Headquarters (UNHQ) and the Permanent Mission of Germany to the United Nations.

Norfolk was the second stop of Senior Course 142’s Field Study 2, focused on the transatlantic link. On 19 April 2023, Course Members visited Allied Command Transformation (ACT) Headquarters and heard several briefings on ACT lines of work and priorities.

On 21 April 2023, Course Members of the 29th NATO Regional Cooperation Course (NRCC-29) celebrated their graduation upon completion of a 10-week curriculum, with a Graduation Ceremony at the NATO Defense College (NDC).

On 16 April 2023, Senior Course 142 travelled from Rome to Washington, D.C. as the first stop on their Field Study Two programme in the United States of America, focused on providing Course Members with first-hand knowledge of security and defence policies from a transatlantic perspective.

On 19 April 2023, the Commandant of NATO School Oberammergau (NSO), Colonel Jay Smith, visited the NATO Defense College (NDC).
