On Friday, 15 July 2022, Senior Course 140 formally completed their 22-week Course at the NATO Defense College (NDC) with a Graduation Ceremony. The Guest of Honour, Admiral Joachim Rühle, Chief of Staff of Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe, delivered the Graduation Address, followed by recognition of authors of the best Individual Papers, the awarding of the Eisenhower Prize, and the conferment of diplomas.

On 13 July 2022, the Ambassador of Romania to Italy, Malta and San Marino, Her Excellency Gabriela Dancau, visited the NATO Defense College (NDC). The aim of the visit was to introduce herself to the NDC Commandant, Lieutenant-General Olivier Rittimann.

From 4 to 7 July 2022, the NATO Defense College (NDC) held for the very first time the General, Flag officer and Ambassadors’ Course for Partners (GFOAC-P) – Sahel on the premises of the G5 Sahel Defense College (G5SDC) in Nouakchott, Mauritania.

On 11 July 2022, the NATO Defense College (NDC) welcomed the Chief of Space Operations of the United States Space Force, General John W. "Jay" Raymond, and a delegation of 11 members. The aim of the visit was to deliver a Lecture of Opportunity.

On July 6-8, the NATO Defense College Research Division hosted the 4th edition of the Early Career Nuclear Strategists Workshop (ECNSW) and the first in-person edition of the ECNSW since its inaugural session in 2019.

The presentations of Senior Course 140’s Committee Study Projects (CSPs) took place on 8 and 9 July 2022. This activity is one of the highlights of the Course and the final academic phase for Course Members. It represents the culmination of several months of team work, strategic thinking and consensus-building.

On 5 July 2022, the Commander of the NATO Joint Force Training Centre (JFTC), Major General Norbert Wagner, visited the NATO Defense College (NDC). The aim of the visit was to gain a deeper insight into the structure, leadership and activities of the College.

On 5 July 2022, the NATO Defense College (NDC) welcomed a delegation from the Virginia Military Institute (VMI) composed of 23 delegates and led by Colonel Michael Hardin, Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department at VMI. The aim of the visit was to introduce the visitors to the NDC’s main activities and mission.
