On 16 October 2020, the NDC Research Division organised and moderated the main panel of the 67th Anciens’ Annual Conference and Seminar.

This year's theme, "What kind of NATO do we need in a post-Covid World?" focused on the strategic consequences of COVID-19 for the Alliance.

Prior to the main panel presentations and discussions, NATO’s Deputy Secretary General, Mr Mircea Geoană, delivered the keynote address.

The main panel, moderated by Dr Thierry Tardy, Director of the Research Division at the NDC, was composed of Dr Thomas Mahnken, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments, who took part virtually from Washington, and Dr Mark Webber, Professor of International Politics at the University of Birmingham, who participated live from the College, together with the Commandant of the NDC, LGEN Olivier Rittimann.

The NDC Dean, Dr Stephen Mariano closed the 67th Anciens’ Annual Conference and Seminar by delivering concluding remarks.
