The Dean of the NATO Defense College, Dr. Grant Hammond, was honored to welcome for the first time ever the members of the NATO Executive Development Program (NEDP) to Rome for the week of 9-13 November.
Twenty-four NATO civilian employees, led by Dr. Keith Amoss from HQ NATO and Dr. Boris Diekmann of ESCP, attended lectures with the Senior Course and the NRCC about Global Security Challenges. They also conducted team building exercises and participated in Committees to examine the strategic issues facing the North Atlantic Alliance. According to Dr. Diekmann, feedback from the participants was very positive.
Participants enjoyed in particular the quality of the lectures, the committee work approach as a means to prepare for and debrief lectures, as well as the quality of reflection and facilitation during the committee work. They shared the view that the week helped them to change perspectives.
