From 14-18 January 2019, Modular Short Course 133-5 was run at the NDC. The theme of the Course was ‘Global Security Challenges’.
MSC 133-5 was attended by 21 participants from 12 different NATO countries.
Course Members attended lectures on: ‘Weapons of Mass Destruction – Proliferations and Arms Control’, by Prof. Dr Holger Mey (DEU) and Mr Edmund Whiteside (CAN/NATO); ‘Energy Security’, by Prof. Aleh Cherp (BLR, SWE) and Mr Julijus Grubliauskas (LTU/NATO); ‘Security Perspectives on Demographic Trends’, by Prof. Dr Gunnar Heinsohn (DEU); ‘Terrorism and Organized Crime’, by Dr Christina Schori-Liang (USA) and Prof. Dr Girav Sadik (TUR); and ‘Cyber Security and Defence’, by Dr John L. Clarke (USA) and Dr Antonio Missiroli (ITA).
These lectures were complemented by many opportunities for debates and discussion during the week.
