The Integrated Partner Orientation Course (IPOC 2019-1) and the Modular Short Course (MSC 134-3) were held this week at the NATO Defense College
Entitled “NATO: Present and Future“, the two courses, running alongside Senior Course 134, were aimed at analysing the role and character of NATO, including its organization, policies and activities; as well as to consider the contribution of the Alliance to security and the adaptation necessary to remain relevant to the changing security environment and the demands of current operations.
The 13 members of IPOC, and the 20 participants involved in MSC 134-3, were welcomed to the NDC on 1st April by NDC Commandant LtGen Chris Whitecross. Over the week, they attended a number of lectures on NATO strategy, to gain a better understanding of the Atlantic Alliance.
