
On 20 October 2020, Lieutenant General Roger L. Cloutier, the newly appointed Commander of NATO Allied Land Command (LANDCOM), visited the NATO Defense College for the first time since assuming command.
Lieutenant General Roger L. Cloutier was welcomed at the NATO Defense College by Lieutenant General Olivier Rittimann. After signing the guest book, LGEN Cloutier had an office call with the Commandant. The Commander of LANDCOM was also briefed by the Heads of Division of the College on the NDC structure and mission.
Senior Course 137, Modular Short Course 137-2 and Integrated Partner Orientation Course had the opportunity to hear LGEN Cloutier deliver closing remarks on the day’s topic of “NATO Partnership Opportunities and Challenges” following the lectures given by Mr Tomáš Šindelár and Dr Kevin Koehler, as part of the Study Period D, NATO Present and Future. During his address, LGEN Cloutier underscored the importance of the networks created whilst attending the Courses, and the value of the education members receive at the College.
LGEN Roger L. Cloutier assumed command in August 2020.
