On 5 July 2022, the Commander of the NATO Joint Force Training Centre (JFTC), Major General Norbert Wagner, visited the NATO Defense College (NDC). The aim of the visit was to gain a deeper insight into the structure, leadership and activities of the College.
Upon arrival, Major General Norbert Wagner was welcomed by the NDC Dean, Dr Christopher M. Schnaubelt, and signed the Guest Book. Major General Wagner then attended a comprehensive briefing on the history, mission and main activities of the College, presented by the NDC’s Head of the Academic Operations Division, Brigadier General Ferenc Molnár, followed by a Q&A session.
Major General Wagner assumed command of the NATO Joint Force Training Centre in October 2021. Located in Bydgoszcz, Poland, the Joint Force Training Centre is an integral part of the NATO Command Structure, and directly supports the mission of the Supreme Allied Commander Transformation. JFTC is a critical element in the transformation of NATO and Partner forces through exercises and training. Its priority is to provide combined and joint training in support of warfighting readiness for forces engaged in ongoing missions as well as for future operations.
