Today, a delegation of 40 Course Members and accompanying staff from the Italian Ministry of Defense Joint Logistics course attended a lecture entitled “NATO in a Complex World” at the NATO Defense College (NDC).
The lecturer was Lieutenant General (ret’d) Jo Godderij (NLD), who spoke about all aspects of how the Alliance works – from current issues and operations to the organizational framework. The topics that he focused on included NATO’s comprehensive approach, smart defence, and the challenges of building consensus in such a large organization.
The NDC often hosts visits from the Italian Joint Logistics course, offering participants an opportunity to attend various stimulating lectures at the College. These visits are in the framework of the continuous cooperation between the NATO Defense College and the Italian Ministry of Defense, an important feature of the close relationship the College enjoys with its host nation.
