On 27 April 2022, the NATO Defense College (NDC) welcomed a visiting delegation from the BI Norwegian Business School. The aim was to provide the guests with a general overview of the NDC’s mission, its academic program, and main activities.
The visiting delegation was led by Professor Kristian Alm, who is responsible for the academic program “Cultural Understanding and Ethics in Security,” which is part of the Executive Master’s degree programme in security leadership and cultural understanding.
The delegation, comprising primarily of officers from the Norwegian Armed Forces, police lieutenants and leaders from non-governmental organizations, was welcomed by the NDC Dean, Dr. Christopher M. Schnaubelt and the Norwegian Senior National Representative and Faculty Adviser Captain (N) Helge Martin Tonning.
Guests attended a lecture of the Asia-Pacific Seminar, part of Study Period D for Senior Course 140. The delegation was then given a comprehensive briefing on the history, mission and main activities of the NATO Defense College, delivered by the NDC Director of Academic Policy and Planning (DAPP) Brigadier General Rolf Wagner, followed by a Q&A session.
The BI Norwegian Business School is an independent and not-for-profit foundation that provides research-based knowledge on business and management in Norway.
