On 22 April 2022, Course Members of the 27th NATO Regional Cooperation Course celebrated their graduation upon completion of a 10-week curriculum, with a graduation ceremony at the NATO Defense College (NDC). The Graduation Address was delivered by General (Ret.) Salvatore Farina, former Chief of the Italian Army General Staff.
Upon arrival, General (Ret.) Salvatore Farina signed the Guest Book and had an office call with the NDC Commandant, Lieutenant General Olivier Rittimann. Afterwards, the NDC Commandant gave an introductory speech to the Ceremony attendees in which he highlighted the NRCC’s core activities and its main takeaways for Course Members. The Commandant then gave the floor to General (Ret.) Salvatore Farina who highlighted “the need for NATO to continue to engage in crisis response operations as well as in projecting stability and, more generally, to provide cooperative security”.
The NRCC-27 Course President, Brigadier General Saad Bin Ali Al Ahmari, delivered a farewell speech and the ceremony concluded with the award of diplomas to the newly graduated Course Members.
The ceremony was attended by Ambassadors to Rome, diplomats and Defence Attachés, Italian military authorities, distinguished guests, and Course Members’ families.
