A delegation of 19 participants from the Hungarian General Staff course, led by former Hungarian Chief of Defence Prof. General (ret.) Zoltán Szenes, Ph.D., Professor of Security and Defence Studies, visited the NATO Defense College on 11 April 2017 and attended the Senior Course’s daily lecture in the Maynard-Thorn Auditorium.
The visit included a presentation of the College by Col Dr Szabolcs Peter Till, SNR HUN.
Prof. General (ret.) Zoltán Szenes studied at the Russian Military Academy (MSc), the Budapest University of Economics (MSc, Dr. Univ.) and the Royal College of Defence Studies in London. A prominent contributor to education and research in military sciences since 1982, he held various commanding and staff positions in the Hungarian Defence Forces and NATO (Brussels, Naples), before his appointment as Chief of Defence of Hungary (2003-2005).
