On 23 June Vice Admiral Luigi BINELLI MANTELLI, Commander in Chief of the Fleet (CINCNAV) and Commander of the European Maritime Force (COMEUROMARFOR), was welcomed to the NATO Defense College by NDC Commandant Lieutenant General Wolf Dieter LOESER.
Vice Admiral BINELLI MANTELLI, who was visiting the College for the first time, had an opportunity to learn more about our educational programmes and to gain an insight into how the College functions. He attended the lecture on Central Asia delivered by Dr Shirin AKINER to Senior Course 116, and was briefed by the Commandant on the College’s structure, mission, research and outreach activities.
During his visit the Vice Admiral met the Italian Course Members attending SC 116, in order to hear their impressions of the six-month Course they have almost completed, and was accompanied by the Commandant on a tour of NDC facilities.
