
On 15 October, Deputy Supreme Allied Commander Europe (DSACEUR) designate LGEN Tim Radford visited the NATO Defense College. LGEN Radford was welcomed by NDC Commandant LGEN Chris Whitecross and by Dean Stephen Mariano.
After spending time with the Commandant and the Dean, LGEN Radford took part in a roundtable with the Head of the NDC Academic Planning and Policy Division, BGEN Rolf Wagner; the Director of the Research Division, Dr Thierry Tardy; the Head of the Academic Programmes Branch, COL Ludo Dufour; and the British Senior National Representative and Faculty Adviser, COL David Hannah.
LGEN Radford was then accompanied on a tour of the College’s facilities.
LGEN Radford will assume his duties as DSACEUR in April 2020. He previously commanded the Allied Rapid Reaction Corps (July 2016-July 2019), and was Deputy Commander of NATO’s Operation Resolute Support in Afghanistan. He has also commanded operations in Northern Ireland, Sierra Leone, Iraq and Afghanistan.
