On Monday 11 January, Modular Short Course 115-5 will join Senior Course 115 for a one-week Study Module entitled “Regional Issues and Challenges: Part Two ” , which includes lectures on China and North-East Asia, South Asia (Pakistan and Afghanistan – India), Central Asia, and the Middle East (the Gulf, the Levant, Iran and Iraq).
In general Modular Short Courses consist of a maximum of 12 course members from NATO nations and are designed to stimulate and provoke thinking during a short period of intensive study. They give participants the opportunity to improve their knowledge and understanding of some of the key political, economic, defence and security related issues that affect specific parts of the world and may also have repercussions on Alliance security.
