The NATO Defense College was honored to host 27 participants of the NATO Executive Development Program (NEDP), the 4th iteration of a distinctive program with which the College has been proudly associated since 2009.
The NEDP builds a collaborative network of international civilians from across the Alliance, to develop together as a team during a program lasting nearly 10 months. The ESCP Europe Business School manages the unique program for NATO, which it delivers in a combination of four on-line phases, and five residential courses hosted by four different NATO bodies. One of those resident modules takes place at the NATO Defense College (NDC).
The NDC Commandant, Lieutenant General Arne Bård DALHAUG, welcomed the group, which accomplished its objectives during the week 19-23 November, under the direction of the NEDP Program Director, Mr. Marc WÜLFRATH. The module at NDC enabled the group to conduct team presentations on relevant NATO topics, which the participants had worked on before arriving at the College. The week also allowed the NEDP to leverage the Senior Course curriculum, by attending several informative lectures during the week, along with Senior Course 121 and the Modular Short Course.
The group formed two committees with the help of Ms. Heidi REISINGER and Dr. Guillaume LASCONGARIAS of the NDC Research Division, and held a robust examination of some of the global security challenges facing the Alliance. Feedback from the participants was very positive, and the College has already commenced planning for the 5th iteration of this successful program, in 2013.
