The NATO Defense College fielded a team for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure on Sunday, 16 May 10.
Sixteen team members, led by Honorary Team Captain Giancarlo Fortuna, Brig Gen, ITA AF (Ret) and Mrs Marie Schwarz
helped raise critical funding for breast cancer research.
The course for the Race for the Cure wound its way around the historic downtown and passed by some of the most famous and beautiful sights in Rome, including Circo Massimo, the Forum and the Coliseum. Over 40,000 people participated in the event despite the threatening weather.
