On 21st October 2016, the Commandant of the National Defense College of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Major General Staff Pilot Rashad Al Sa’adi visited the NATO Defense College.
Upon arrival, Major General Al Sa’adi, together with a small delegation , including Col Ali Khaleifa Al Shamsi and Col Sultan Ali Al Kaabi, was warmly welcomed by the NDC Dean, BGen (ret.) František Mičánek (CZE); the Director of Management BGen Salvatore Carta (ITA A); and the Head of the Middle East Faculty (MEF) Col Filippo Bonsignore (ITA A).
After an office call during which Major General Al Sa’adi spent time in discussion with the Dean and institutional gifts were exchanged, the Commandant of the National Defense College of the UAE was briefed by MEF Faculty Advisor Dr Andreas Jacobs (DEU C), who described the main features of the NDC’s mission and courses.
The aim of the visit was to strengthen ties and identify areas of cooperation between NATO and the United Arab Emirates.
Major General Staff Pilot Rashad Al Sa’adi has been Commandant of the National Defense College since 2nd August 2012.
