The inauguration of Senior Course 130 was held on Tuesday 21st February 2017 at the NATO Defense College in Rome. Course Members were welcomed by the Dean and Acting Commandant, BrigGen (ret.) František Mičánek. The Course is composed of a group of 54 military and civilians, coming from 19 different countries.
NDC Heads of Division briefed Course Members on the main features of the Course, and of the NDC as a whole. The aim of the Course is to prepare officers and civil servants for NATO and NATO-related positions, not only by providing a comprehensive geostrategic overview of security-related trends, but also by promoting cooperation through communication, dialogue, and interaction. Since all the NDC’s curricula are regularly updated to reflect today’s rapidly changing world, about 20% of the lectures for SC 130 are new.
Thanks to Italy’s generous support as Host Nation, Course Members will be able to take advantage of a unique educational experience in the Eternal City.
