
On 14 and 15 October 2021, NATO Regional Cooperation Course 26 travelled to Allied Joint Force Command (JFC Naples) and the South Hub for their Second Field Study.
NRCC-26’s Field Study to JFC Naples started with welcome remarks from Brigadier General Re, NATO Strategic Direction South HUB (NSD-S HUB) Director, and continued with a presentation on the ‘South’s evolving geo-political landscape’. After an engaging Q&A session the day continued with an interactive workshop managed by Senior Analyst Grazioso, consisting of three presentations, each followed by a Q&A session.
The three workshop rounds dealt with ‘Terrorism in the Sahel: Facts and Figures’; ‘Migration in the greater Mediterranean region’; and ‘China’s engagement in Africa and the Middle East’. Closing remarks on behalf of NRCC-26 were given by LTC Kondratiev (UKR).
The second and final day of NRCC-26’s Field Study to JFC Naples started with welcome remarks from Brigadier General Bondor, JFCNP Director of Management. Subsequently, Course Members received a JFCNP command brief, followed by a brief on JFCNP Operations and Missions. The day continued with a presentation covering the NATO Mission in Iraq (NMI) and, finally, a brief on JFCNP Military Partnerships. The Field Study ended with closing remarks from LTC Ahmed (PAK) on behalf of NRCC-26.
