The DEAN
The Dean supervises the Academic Plans, Policy & Engagement Division, the Academic Operations Division, the Research Division, and the NDC Linguistic Services, while also offering invaluable counsel to the Commandant on a variety of issues and initiatives, and representing the Commandant during his absences.
At the heart of the Dean’s office is a dedicated team, comprising an Assistant, a Military Advisor, and an Intern. Together, they provide essential support and expertise, ensuring the smooth functioning of the office and the fulfilment of its objectives.
The Dean cultivates and maintains close relationships with Allied Command Transformation and NATO HQ to ensure that guidance on academic, policy and strategic issues is coordinated and reflected within the curriculum planning and development, monitoring the NDC’s contribution to the effectiveness and cohesion of the Alliance by developing its role as a major centre of education, research and engagement on transatlantic security issues.
