Sarah Bressan is a research fellow at the Global Public Policy Institute (GPPi), where she leads projects on strategic foresight, forecasting and evaluation with a focus on European security, violent extremism and conflict prevention. Her current research focuses on improving the utility of foresight and forecasting for decision-making.

In the past, Sarah evaluated UN peacebuilding efforts and small arms control in the Western Balkans, edited the debate platform on Germany’s first national security strategy, and testified to the German parliamentary commission on future out-of-area missions. She has studied international security and political science in Mannheim, Seoul, Berlin and Paris and has published on topics including hybrid threats to NATO, EU foreign policy and conflict early warning.
