Field Study II continued with the virtual visit of Senior Course 137 to Sarajevo, hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Defence of BiH. Course Members were welcomed by VTC by the Minister of Foreign Affairs H.E. Bisera Turkovic and the Minister of Defence, Sifet Podžic, and had the opportunity to listen to lectures from senior leaders of both ministries who gave a broad picture of the country’s defence and security policies.
The day started with a presentation on “BiH within a historical and strategic Regional Perspective” from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Ministry of Defence covered “Cooperation with BiH in the Framework of NATO’s-PfP”. The virtual Field Study to BiH ended with a keynote address by Deputy Chief of Joint Staff for Operations, Major General Ivica Jerkic, followed by an all-encompassing presentation entitled: “BiH Armed Forces and their Roles/Engagement” delivered by Brigadier General Mirsad Ahmic, Inspector General of the MoD.
