On 3rd May 2012, a group of 24 officers from the United Arab Emirates Joint Command and Staff College spent several hours at the NATO Defense College (NDC) as part of a field study period in Italy. The aim of the visit was to provide participants with practical insight into the NDC, its methods and academic policy.
The delegation was given an informative briefing about the College’s courses and main activities by the Director of the NATO Regional Cooperation Course, Col. (ret.) Sandy Guptill. This was followed by an academic discussion, during which the visitors had the opportunity to ask questions and to express their views on NATO and its present and future tasks.
