Today, 1 July, a delegation of 28 representatives from the Israeli Defense College visited the NATO Defense College.
The head of the delegation, MGen Gershon HACOHEN, made an Office Call to the Commandant, LtGen Wolf Dieter LOESER.
The reason for the visit was first of all to attend a briefing by the Dean, Dr Grant T. HAMMOND, on the NDC’s mission and activities, and then to meet the NATO Regional Cooperation Course Staff, Dr Rolf SCHWARZ and Dr Florence GAUB, who gave a general overview of the Faculty. They discussed the new Faculty’s mandate, based on education, outreach and research, and the NRCC’s objectives: to acquire knowledge, develop consensus building skills and further develop different ways of thinking at the strategic level.
After the presentations Dr Pierre RAZOUX introduced and guided a very frank panel discussion with the visitors about the current situation in the Middle East and the future possibilities of dialogue over there.
