On Tuesday 9th and Wednesday 10th May, Senior Course 70 celebrated their 30th anniversary at the NATO Defense College.
Participants were welcomed by LtGen Chris Whitecross, Commandant of the NDC and current President of the Anciens’ Association.
The Commandant highlighted the value of this annual reunion and also underlined the key message that, in light of current events, new ways of thinking are required from military and political leaders in order to address unprecedented new security challenges.
She focused on the continued implementation of the fundamental lessons learned at the College, the importance of the values upheld here, human bonding, group cohesion and – most significantly – the friendships made, which stand the test of time and distance.
During the visit, the SC 70 flag was presented to the Commandant. A reunion of SC 70 is hosted every year in a different Course Member’s country.
