On 22 May 2019, the NATO Defense College hosted 12 visitors from the National Institute for Defense Studies (NIDS) of the Ministry of Defense of Japan.
The delegation was led by Prof. Yasuaki Hashimoto, Director of the Department of Policy Studies, and CAPT Makoto Nagahiro, Defense Attaché of the Embassy of Japan in Rome.
The delegation was welcomed by the Head of the Academic Operations Division BGEN David Pincet. Following an office call with NDC Dean Stephen J. Mariano, the visitors received a comprehensive briefing on the NDC’s mission and activities from COL Ian Hope.
The visit ended with a tour of the NDC facilities.
