Today, 22 May, the Commandant of the NATO Defense College, Lt. Gen. Wolf-Dieter LOESER, welcomed BG Katherine KASUN, Commandant Joint Forces Staff College.
During her visit BG KASUN attended a briefing by the Chief of Public Affairs Office, Col. FORTUNA (ITA F) providing valuable information on the College and its academic activities. After the briefing she delivered a presentation to NDC staff on the organization, role and mission of the JFSC, Norfolk, VA, which educates national security professionals to plan and execute joint, multinational and interagency operations. She then gave a brief history of the Staff College and explained the four distinct Schools and their different scopes: Joint Advanced Warfighting School (JAWS), Joint and Combined Warfighting School (JCWS), Joint Continuing Distance Education School (JCDES) and Joint Command Control and Information Operation School (JC2IOS). Last but not least, her College also offers an International Fellows (IF) Program.
BG KASUN concluded her visit with a tour of the facilities of the NATO Defense College and invited us to Joint Forces Staff College at Norfolk.
