On 19th April 2012 Major General Jean Fred Berger (FRA A), Commander of the Joint Warfare Centre in Stavanger, Norway, visited the NATO Defense College (NDC) in Rome.
After receiving a warm welcome from the Dean of the NDC, Dr. Richard D. Hooker, Major General Berger was given an informative briefing on the College’s courses and major activities. This was followed by an exchange of perspectives on academic organization and priorities.
Later in the morning, Major General Berger attended a panel lecture together with Senior Course 120. Here, the topic “NATO’s Partnership Initiatives” was addressed by three distinguished speakers: Dr. Bin (NATO/ITA), Dr. Khader (BEL) and Major General Branco (NATO/PRT). Their remarks were very effectively complemented by a wide-ranging question-and-answer session, during which a number of additional points about NATO’s current partnerships and future initiatives were discussed in detail.
