On 10 November, Senior Course 137 was introduced to the NATO Strategic Direction-South Hub by its Director, Brigadier General Davide Re (ITA F). BGEN Re, who is an Ancien of Senior Course 114, described the missions and the Hub’s activities, underlining the innovative approach of the Hub to challenges emanating from NATO’s southern region. During the discussion with SC 137 Course Members, BGEN Re stressed the very complex nature of the challenges affecting the South and pointed out the various areas where NATO could contribute to reinforce stability in this vast region.
In the afternoon, a virtual visit to Joint Force Command Norfolk (JFCNF) was made for Course Members to better understand its role, structure and mission.
