
A party of NATO Parliamentary Assembly delegates, composed of members of the Sub-Committee on Transatlantic Economic Relations and the Sub‑Committee on Energy and Environmental Security, visited the NATO Defense College. The 30 guests were welcomed by the Chief, Public Affairs Office (PAO) on behalf of the NDC Commandant, Lieutenant General Wolf-Dieter LOESER. They were briefed on the NDC’s purpose and organization, the courses offered, and the outreach activities. After a general overview of the NDC by the Chief PAO, the Director of the Research Division, Dr Karl Heinz Kamp, gave a presentation on NATO’s New Strategic Concept, followed by a brilliant Q&A session. During their visit the guests showed interest in the role played by the NDC in educating both military and civilian personnel, and in the Chatham House Rule, followed by the College, which guarantees freedom of expression during the lectures.
