
On 28th March 2014, a delegation of high-level Norwegian Ministry officials visited the NATO Defense College (NDC) in Rome. The aim of the visit was to acquire a better understanding of the main activities of the NDC. Upon arrival, the delegation was warmly welcomed by Lieutenant General Arne Bård Dalhaug (NOR A), NDC Commandant.

The visit began with a detailed briefing on the College by the Director of Management, Cmdre Harald Hakonsen (NOR N). His presentation focused mainly on the NDC’s mission, but also provided information on the objectives and main features of College courses.
This was followed by a talk on NATO partnership policies in the context of the Ukrainian situation, given by Ms Heidi Reisinger (DEU C) of the NDC Research division.
During their brief visit, the Norwegian delegation had an excellent opportunity to better understand the NDC’s role as NATO’s premier academic institution.
