On 25 and 26 November, two panels of experts delivered briefings on the challenges and opportunities in the Middle East, giving details on the Gulf States, Iran, Israel and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. This was followed by a wide-ranging debate between the briefers and the Course Members of Senior Course 137, moderated by Faculty Advisor Mrs Nancy Vellone (ITA).
As in last week’s Russia Seminar, on Day II, in working groups occupying smaller, virtual spaces, CMs had the opportunity for discussions with the presenters on the details of this geopolitically sensitive region. Engaging via VTC with the CMs were Prof. Greilshammer (ISR), Dr Pedde (ITA), Prof. Razoux (FRA), Dr Sky (GBR), and Dr Tartir (PSE).
The Seminar series will continue with another seminar on China.
