H.E. Dr. Saywan Barzani, Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Italy, visited the NATO Defense College on 29th February 2012.
Dr. Barzani, accompanied by Third Secretary Ms Noora Al-Shibli, received a warm welcome during an office call on the NDC Dean, Dr. Richard D. Hooker.
After the office call, Dr. Barzani and Ms Al-Shibli attended two lectures in the NDC’s “Maynard-Thorn” Auditorium. The lecturers, Dr. Hammes (USA) and Prof. Jakobsen (DNK), both gave their perspectives on the subject “Conflict and Confrontation: the changing nature of conflict”.
H.E. Saywan Barzani also attended the subsequent discussion period, where Course Members from Senior Course 120 were able to interact with the lecturers and receive first-hand information in response to their questions.
The visit offered our distinguished guests an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the NDC’s activities and educational methods.
