On 20 June 2013, the NATO Defense College (NDC) hosted a delegation from the Postgraduate Defence Policy Studies Centre of the National Defence University of Warsaw, Poland.
The delegation was led by Col Maciej Marszałek, Dean of the National Security Faculty of the National Defence University, and BrigGen (ret.) Zenon Smutniak, Course Director. Before the scheduled briefings began, they were warmly received by NDC Commandant LtGen Arne Bård Dalhaug (NOR A) in his office.
Col Kees Marselis (NDL F), Military Assistant to the NDC Commandant, provided a detailed briefing on the College’s mission, institutional responsibilities and educational activities.
This was followed by a roundtable, with the participation of BrigGen Gerd Bischof (DEU F), Director of the Academic Planning and Policy Division , and Col G. Morabito (ITA A), Director of the Middle East Faculty.
The delegation then made a guided tour of the premises, giving our guests an opportunity to view the College’s facilities and further discuss the practical requirements associated with its various activities.
