
On Friday 9 January 2009 the NDC welcomed Ambassador Ulrich Brandenburg, Permanent Representative of Germany to NATO.
The Commandant, Lieutenant General Wolf-Dieter Loeser, held an Office Call with the Ambassador, who signed the NATO Defense College guest book.
Ambassador Brandenburg has previously held many key positions, including: Director, Head of OSCE & Council of Europe Division, Foreign Office, Bonn/ Berlin; Head of Defence & Security Policy (NATO) Division; Ambassador, Commissioner for Russia, the Caucasus and Central Asia, Foreign Office, Berlin and Deputy Political Director, Foreign Office, Berlin.
After the Office Call, the Ambassador was accompanied by the Commandant to the main Auditorium, where he delivered the first Eisenhower Lecture of 2009 to the Course Members, Faculty and Senior Staff of Senior Course 113 on “NATO at 60: preparing for the Strasburg-Kehl Summit”.
